This quarterly video series, produced by AASHTO’s Transportation TV, gives a national perspective on transportation topics through the eyes of the state DOT community.

In this episode, Tymon discusses key parts of the “Building Unrivaled Infrastructure and Long-term Development for America’s 250th Act” or BUILD America 250 Act adopted by the House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on May 22.

That bill authorizes roughly $580 billion over fiscal year 2027 through 2031, with $474.4 billion provided as Highway Trust Fund (HTF) contract authority.

In the video, Tymon outlines the critical “next steps” in the reauthorization process and examines the future of transportation funding, including the HTF, along with workforce development in the transportation sector and the critical role of industry partnerships in driving innovation, enhancing safety, and strengthening the nation’s transportation system.
