The National Operations Center for Excellence or NOCoE is a partnership of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Institute for Transportation Engineers, and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America – with support from the Federal Highway Administration – that aims to advance the use of Transportation Systems Management and Operations or TSMO strategies across the country.
The unique mix of state, local, academic, and private sector representation is a key feature of NOCoE and ensures its ability to provide knowledge resources that effectively advance all aspects of TSMO.
Tracy Larkin Thomason – chair of the NOCoE SAC and the director of the Nevada Department of Transportation – appointed Wilson.
Wilson is a nearly 30-year Utah DOT veteran who oversees the agency’s project development and operations divisions, as well as its four statewide regional offices. Prior to being named to her current position in January 2020, Wilson – a licensed professional engineer who holds a degree in civil engineering from Utah State University – served as Region Two director, overseeing the agency’s operations in Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties.
She also worked as Region One director, Region Two deputy director, pre-construction director, Region Two program manager, Region Two traffic operations engineer, and project manager.
Wilson is also currently serving a two-year term as chair of the AASHTO Committee on Transportation System Operations or CTSO and serves as chair of the Steering Committee for the AASHTO Innovation Management or AIM technical service program.
