The first is for a publications administrative assistant, who will support AASHTO’s publications divisions and work closely with AASHTO’s Administration team providing reception-related support.

The position coordinates all fulfillment activities and inventory maintenance, working closely with the third-party fulfillment contractor; updates distribution lists and provides education and outreach to membership regarding critical publication releases; plus fields numerous customer service questions on a daily basis, among other tasks.

The position also serves as the first point of contact for office and building-related matters, such as maintenance requests identified by staff and deliveries to the office, and greets AAAHTO guests and visitors to the office.

Candidates for this position should have a minimum of two years’ administrative experience in an office environment, with inventory or publishing experience a plus.

The second job opening is for a recruitment specialist, responsible for implementing AASHTO’s day-to-day recruitment efforts by working closely with its human resources team and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

In support of AASHTO’s core diversity, equity, and inclusion of DEI values, the recruitment specialist must use a “DEI lens” as well as observe all state and federal compliance requirements when recruiting new employees for the organization.

Candidates for this position should have a minimum of four years’ experience in a human resource-supporting role, with at least two of those years in a recruitment specific role. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a closely related field, is required for the position, though a similar level of experience may substitute for education.
