The Oregon Department of Transportation recently began demolishing an unneeded bridge along I-105 near Eugene that will be replaced by a “standard” dirt-filled road bed.
This work marks the start of “phase one” of a two-year construction project that will address I-105 bridges and ramps between the Delta Highway interchange and downtown Eugene, the agency said; work that includes repairs, repaving, and seismic-resilience design upgrades.
