Video: Getting up to Speed on PIARC

Founded in 1909 at the dawn of the automotive age, the Permanent International Association of Road Congresses or “PIARC” provides a global forum for discussing policies and trends that affect all road users.

This international collaboration gives transportation agencies from around the world a platform to discover and share innovative ways to design, build, operate, and maintain a wide variety of infrastructure projects – eliminating the need to reinvent the wheel.

In January 2020, PIARC’s U.S. affiliates – the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and the Federal Highway Administration – kicked off PIARC’s 2020-to-2023 work cycle.

In the Transportation TV video below, experts in safety, highway construction, engineering, and freight share the professional and personal rewards they’ve gained by participating in PIARC. To learn more, visit the website PIARC’s National Committee of the United States.
