Video: Bridge Competition Connects Students to Transportation

The 2019 National Bridge Challenge is part of the Transportation and Civil Engineering or TRAC program that teaches secondary school students from 7th through 12th grade how to apply a variety of math and science concepts to common engineering problems occurring in the development of transportation systems.

The final round of the 2019 National Bridge Challenge was held May 21 in Park City, Utah, as part of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials spring meeting.

The all-day competition involved total of 18 teams – comprised of three students and one teacher/advisor – from six states; teams culled over an eight-month period from an initial round of 370 applications from 23 states.
