NTPEP combines the professional and physical resources of AASHTO member departments to evaluate materials, products, and devices of common interest for use in highway and bridge construction.
The program’s primary goal is to provide cost-effective evaluations for state departments of transportation by eliminating duplication of testing and auditing by the states and duplication of effort by the manufacturers that provide products for evaluation.
The group’s annual meeting offers attendees an opportunity to engage with their peers and learn from one another in an effort to ensure state, federal, and industry members get the utmost benefit from NTPEP participating.
Attendees also get an opportunity to learn about the work done by each NTPEP Technical Committee during the 2022 meeting via specific “working sessions” on various topics, including everything from concrete curing compounds and pipe lining materials to temporary traffic control devices.
Finally, Paul Degges – deputy commissioner and chief engineer at the Tennessee Department of Transportation – will provide a host speaker presentation on June 27 covering some of the latest developments in the transportation material field.
