Themed “Avalanche Forecast, Mitigation, and Research,”the webinar will feature three state department of transportation winter operations experts: Brian Gorsage and Ethan Greene with the Colorado Department of Transportation, along with Steven Clark from the Utah Department of Transportation.

The webinar will review Colorado’s avalanche mitigation program, the Colorado Avalanche Information Center or CAIC, and
the ongoing Transportation Avalanche Research Pool II, which seeks to improve public and worker safety, improve operational efficiency, improve and develop informational analysis tools, and explore beneficial avalanche technologies and techniques.
