Lyndsay Quist Named Commissioner of Indiana DOT

Indiana Governor Mike Braun (R) recently appointed Lyndsay Quist (above) as commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation.

“As the crossroads of America, our roads and transportation are critical for driving economic growth in our state,” the governor said in a statement.

Quist, who joined INDOT in 2013, served in several executive roles for agency – including capital program management director in the LaPorte District; manager of design and environmental scoping for the LaPorte District; and managing director of project delivery for the entire agency – before being named INDOT deputy commissioner for capital program management in May 2022.

Before joining INDOT, she worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in its New Orleans District in Louisiana.

Quist – who holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University – is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana and Indiana as well as a certified project management professional.
