The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials has appointed Denise Whitney-Dahlke (seen above) – strategic data program manager for the Oregon Department of Transportation – to a two-year term as vice chair of its Committee on Data Management and Analytics or CDMA.
Whitney-Dahlke is a nearly 18-year veteran of the Oregon DOT, starting her career at the agency in 2003 as a transportation economist before being promoted to information strategist in 2014 and to her current position as strategic data program manager is 2016.
She is a graduate of Portland State University, holding a bachelor of science in the field economics.
In January, the CDMA began publishing a new series of monthly newsletters to highlight how investing in data management research provides more “tools in the toolbox” to help improve transportation system management.
