AASHTO said that the poster session will showcase how safety is incorporated into the transportation project decision-making process.

State departments of transportation and other organizations are invited to submit posters demonstrating quantitative or qualitative tools, methods, guidelines, policies, and other resources used to incorporate safety into transportation project activities.

AASHTO noted that those posters offer an opportunity to share successful experiences with transportation professionals from public, private, academic, and non-profit organizations participating in the summit. Of particular interest are posters that show application of incorporating safe system principles into the project decision-making process.

The organization stressed that poster submissions should not include creative elements – such as, photos, graphs, charts, graphics – that violate or infringe upon another person’s or company’s rights, including but not limited to copyright. Accepted presenters must also register for the 2023 Safety Summit, AASHTO added.

Please visit the poster session website by clicking here for additional criteria and to submit an abstract for a poster session. Posters are to be submitted online only and applications are due by September 13. Presenters will be notified of their poster status by September 22.
