A division of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AASHTOWare offers a suite of software products delivered through a collaborative business model with state departments of transportation across the country.
AASHTOWare developed a strategic alliance with ProMiles Software Development Corp. in May 2024 – one of the first products resulting from AASHTOWare’s Alliance Program, created in July 2023 to fill functional gaps in its software offerings while also allowing it to meet the growing needs of its members.
AASHTOWare PermitRoute powered by ProMiles is a cloud-based automated technology solution tailored for real-time oversized overweight permitting and routing needs of state and local transportation agencies.
The alliance between AASHTOWare and ProMiles also offers users a seamless integration into all major load rating tools – such as AASHTOWare Bridge Rating – to provide a convenient and efficient load rating process that is in accordance with Federal Highway Administration regulations.
The AASHTOWare PermitRoute powered by ProMiles package is designed to analyze a variety of factors – ranging from route restrictions and load attributes to jurisdiction preferences, equipment type, and commodity – in order to create real-time routing and permitting guidance for state transportation agencies.
During the December 16 webinar, the Oregon DOT and ProMiles team will share the lessons they learned when implementing automated, lane-based routing of overheight loads – a discussion that offers a great chance to learn state DOTs are utilizing this software product to manage oversize truck routing, as well as ask questions regarding the strategic alliance between AASHTOWare and ProMiles.
