Date Set for AASHTO Re:source 2025 TechEx Conference

The 2025 AASHTO re:source Technical Exchange or “TechEx” will be held March 17-20, 2025, in Bellevue, WA; an annual event started in 2017 as a way to connect those in the construction materials testing industry and to share knowledge and best practices.

AASHTO re:source is a technical service program offered by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials that provides services and tools through three major programs: the Laboratory Assessment Program, the Proficiency Sample Program, and the AASHTO Accreditation Program.

Through those activities, sharing knowledge, and training events, AASHTO re:source evaluates testing competency, promotes continual improvement, and instills confidence in the laboratories and specifiers that use its programs.

The yearly TechEx conference is a one-of-a-kind professional development event for laboratory managers, quality managers, supervisors, technicians, and engineers.

Nearly 30 informational sessions are on tap the 2025 TechEx meeting, covering a wide array of topics – including everything from accreditation and construction materials testing to equipment calibration, quality management, and more – within the construction material testing industry.

This year’s TechEx will also feature a technician, manager, and director track featuring content more aligned with the interests at each level.  Attendees can pick whichever path they would like and can jump from one to the next to make the most of their time

AASHTO re:source added the annual TechEx event also offers an ideal setting for attendees to exchange information and expand their professional network while engaging with peers in workshops and open-forum settings.

Attendees may also earn Professional Development Hours or PDHs, subject to their state’s licensing board approval, to maintain certifications.

Bob Lutz, AASHTO re:source director, described the annual TechEx event as the “cornerstone” of the organization’s commitment to “spearheading” a quality revolution in the construction materials testing and inspection industry.

“TechEx is more than just a conference; it’s a collaborative platform where industry professionals come together to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and drive continual improvement across the sector,” he said.
