The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials debuted a redesigned platform for its transportation.org website ahead of the organization’s 2023 Spring Meeting in Seattle – a website that is streamlined, more user friendly, and offers many new design features.

A revamped main webpage now makes it easier for visitors to find what they’re looking for, such as transportation policy developments, AASHTO meetings, committee work, technical services, AASHTO publications, transportation news, and much more.
“The 2021-2026 AASHTO Strategic Plan calls for us to better utilize technology to serve our members and to improve AASHTO’s digital presence. Our goal for this project was to make a modernized website that worked better for our members and other stakeholders,” said Jim Tymon, AASHTO executive director.
“The new website was designed to enhance engagement and provide everything users need in a more intuitive and responsive way,” he added. “We’re proud of the new transportation.org and believe it will provide users with an easier and more streamlined experience. We also recognize that AASHTO’s digital presence will continue to evolve as we add content and make improvements to the site.”
The new AASHTO website is now also optimized for all mobile devices, allowing users to access the latest transportation updates and information at their fingertips, no matter their location or what device they are using.
To ensure a smooth and consistent user experience, AASHTO migrated all of its web properties into a single, unified platform that lets users access everything with a single login and password – providing faster and more streamlined access to all of AASHTO’s resources.
As meetings are an essential component of how AASHTO operates, interacts, and collaborates with members, partners, and transportation stakeholders, the new website offers a faster and simplified way to easily view and register online for the latest AASHTO meetings, which are prominently displayed on our homepage and dynamic calendar.
“One upcoming addition to our redesigned website will be the ‘AASHTO Communities’ platform, which offers our committee members a convenient, centralized location to conduct AASHTO business through dedicated discussion boards, events, and file sharing,” noted Tymon.
“When this new tool is rolled out, it will give all of our members, partners, and other visitors a lot of flexibility in how they can participate in our online community discussions,” he explained. “With this new feature, staying engaged with AASHTO has never been easier.”
