The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Council on Public Transportation and MTAP 2020 Winter Meeting is switching to a virtual format.
The meeting’s virtual forum, using Zoom, will allow members to participate remotely over the course of four days – December 8, 10, and 15-16 – with a more relaxed agenda.
The Council on Public Transportation and MTAP are also offering the 2020 Winter Meeting at no charge to members, their state DOT staff, non-members, and all colleagues from the transit community.

Day one of the group’s winter meeting will feature Jim Tymon, executive director of AASHTO and K. Jane Williams, deputy administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, as guest speakers.
There will also be a session on managing CARES Act funding moderated by Roger Millar, secretary of the Washington State Department of Transportation and chair of the council. That session includes state departments of transportation executives such as Garrett Eucalitto from the Connecticut DOT and Suzanne Carlson with the Tennessee DOT, along with Bruce Robinson from the FTA’s Office of Program Management.
There will also be session on how state DOTs are going “big” on innovative transit technologies to attract riders and keeping transit moving throughout their respective states and how the impact of COVID-19 on state and local government budgets are dramatically affecting available resources for transit services and programs.
All participants must register for each individual session of the 2020 Winter Meeting, with registration links available by clicking here.
