A monthly video news wrap up issued by the Tennessee Department of Transportation Oct. 1 highlighted the hurricane response preparation efforts of TDOT’s “Strike Force” team, a group of employees trained to handle “emergency conditions” in Tennessee and surrounding states.

The agency also saluted its third place finish in the 16^th annual Southeast Regional Equipment Operators “Roadeo,” where teams of heavy equipment operators from 11 state departments of transportation competed against one another in Rogers, Arkansas, pitting their knowledge of safety practices and equipment operating skills against one another in “friendly yet fierce” competition
