The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently issued 2022 Interim Revisions to its “Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design, 2nd Edition,” publication, originally published in 2011.

AASHTO made specific changes to the following specification sections within that publication: Section 3 General Requirements; Section 4 Analysis and Design Requirements; Section 5 Analytical Models and Procedures; and Section 6 Foundation and Abutment Design.
AASHTO said it is necessary to have those 2022 updates – as well as the interim revisions issued in 2012, 2014, and 2015 – in order to have all current specification information on hand.
