This annual legislative meeting gives attendees the opportunity to collaborate with transportation leaders from state departments of transportation, members of Congress, federal transportation officials, and other industry experts on a range of current and future policy matters.
Highlighting legislative and regulatory developments in all modes of transportation, the 2026 edition of AASHTO’s longstanding forum will focus on partnership efforts by state DOTs with the Trump administration and Congress to focus on successes from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, build momentum for surface transportation funding reauthorization, annual appropriations, and other legislative and regulatory priorities of the state DOT community.
Russell McMurry, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Transportation and AASHTO president for 2025-2026, will also elaborate on the details of his emphasis areas at the meeting.
