North Dakota DOT Searching for New Director

Time is running out to apply for the directorship of the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

The agency is actively looking for a new chief executive to replace William Panos, who steps down as the agency’s chief executive on September 9.

The North Dakota DOT has posted a job description for the directorship position online. It seeks a director who will provide “vision, leadership, and direction for the development of the state’s transportation system,” which include roadways, bridges, transit, pedestrian, and bicycle paths, emphasizing safety, economic vitality, and high service levels.

The director also oversees the management and administration of the agency’s office located in Bismarck, North Dakota and its eight regional districts including Bismarck, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Grand Forks, Fargo, Minot, Valley City and Williston.

Applicants must complete the online application before midnight on September 4, including a resume and cover letter providing details how their education, work experience, and skills qualify them for this position.
