AASHTO’s Public Transportation Council provides expertise and leadership to help advance public transit options as a part of an intermodal transportation system.
It develops legislative, policy, and program recommendations related to all forms of passenger public transportation services including rural, urban, regional and intercity bus, travel demand management and commuter rail.
The council also sponsors the Multi-State Transit Technical Assistance Program or MTAP, which provides technical assistance to help states implement Federal Transit Administration Programs, offers feedback to FTA on implementation issues, and supports a professional network for sharing best transit-industry practices.
Majeski has served as Delaware DOT secretary since October 2020, with formally confirmation conferred by Delaware’s senate in January 2021.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Majeski previously served as Delaware DOT deputy secretary for nine years.
Prior to her work for Delaware DOT, she worked for New Castle County government, serving as chief of staff to then-County Executive Chris Coons, who is now one of the state’s two U.S. senators.
