The governor named Glenn Ledet, Jr. – previously executive director of Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority or CPRA – to be Louisiana DOTD secretary.
Concurrently, Eric Dauphine – formerly Louisiana DOTD’s district administrator of Lafayette-District 03 – is now the agency’s deputy secretary.
“I look forward to working alongside the agency’s dedicated team and partners throughout the state to strengthen Louisiana’s transportation network,” Ledet said in a statement released by the Governor’s office. “Together, we will focus on delivering efficient and safe infrastructure that meets the needs of Louisiana’s residents, communities, and businesses both now and in the future.”
Ledet has 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors building public infrastructure across the Gulf Coast, including multiple years in management positions with a nationally renowned engineering, planning, and construction management firm, where he led strategic growth, business development, and operations efforts.
He spent the last year and a half as CPRA’s executive director – leading the agency’s implementation of the state’s $50 billion Coastal Master Plan. He also served as assistant administrator of the operations division at CPRA for a time, managing the implementation of large-scale flood protection infrastructure projects.
Ledet holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a licensed civil engineer in multiple states along the Gulf Coast.
