AASHTOWare Bridge 7.2 Software Now Available

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently issued AASHTOWare Bridge 7.2, the latest version of its core bridge design and rating software platform.

AASHTOWare – which offers a suite of transportation software products delivered through a collaborative business model with state departments of transportation across the country – upgraded its bridge design and rating package with a range of new features and capabilities:

  • It now offers a superstructure data exchange via the Industry Foundation Classes data standard for exchanging bridge model data in a non-proprietary and vendor-neutral data format.
  • It includes the new Steel Plate Girder Design Tool, following steps laid out in the Federal Highway Administration’s LRFD Design Example for Steel Girder Superstructure Bridge.
  • It features new Prestressed Concrete Design Tool enhancements, such as a structure framing plan, typical section, and beam profile schematics.
  • It offers new Load Rating Tool enhancements that support LRFR analysis of multi-girder systems, slab systems, and multi-cell box beams.
