AASHTOWare Appoints New Committee Member

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials has appointed Kevin Dayton (seen above) – chief engineer and assistant secretary for regional and mega programs for the Washington State Department of Transportation – to a one-year term on the Special Committee on AASHTOWare, also known as SCOA.

AASHTOWare is a suite of software products designed to help transportation professionals comply with Federal Highway Administration regulations and more efficiently monitor project costs, among other capabilities.

Dayton brings over 36 years of management experience to SCOA, with a particular focus on establishing organizational structures and policies plus financial management acumen gleaned from years helping oversee his agency’s multi-billion-dollar capital program.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in science civil engineering from Washington State University and is a licensed professional engineer.
