The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials will be holding a new “roundtable webinar” series on Transportation Systems Management and Operations or TSMO best practices.
The first webinar in the series will take place on November 2 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST. To register for this webinar click here.
Organized by AASHTO’s Committee on Transportation Systems Operations or CTSO, and hosted by the National Operations Center of Excellence, this first roundtable will center around a panel discussion regarding how specific TSMO projects are selected to meet the root needs of mobility, safety, and traffic congestion – re-current versus non-recurrent.
Key questions covered by CTSO’s webinar: Of the many TSMO strategies that exist, which ones should be applied? How can I maximize the effectiveness of TSMO strategies I currently employ? What strategies produce greater or more synergistic benefits when combined with other strategies?
The panel, moderated by Monica Harwood from the Washington State Department of Transportation, includes Tracy Scriba with the Federal Highway Administration, Kelli Raboy with the District of Columbia DOT; Jed Falgre with the Minnesota DOT; Rod Schilling from the Nevada DOT; and Don Gutkowski with the Wisconsin DOT.
A second roundtable in this series will take place on December 9, at 1:00 pm and discuss the best practices for TSMO training programs at all levels of the workforce. To register for this webinar, click here.
