Throughout America’s history, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders made substantial contributions to the nation’s transportation system through profound perseverance and self-determination.
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials produced a video to highlight the stories of the Chinese Railroad Workers, Major Arthur Chin, and Norman Mineta – former secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation – whose sacrifices and contributions helped to fundamentally transform the country’s transportation system.
