AASHTO Seeks Transportation System Operations Manager

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – an equal-opportunity employer – seeks to hire a program manager for transportation system operations; a full-time position located in the organization’s Washington, D.C., office.

This position provides program management support, outreach and engagement, and collaboration on cross-cutting themes related to policy, budget tracking, and research for transportation system operations-related (TSMO) activities.

In addition to supporting the AASHTO Committee on Transportation System Operations, this position’s duties include providing technical, budget, and contract support, the Cooperative Automated Transportation Coalition, and the National Operations Center of Excellence.

This job also entails developing and maintaining working contact with individuals and organizations in the transportation community, including associations, government agencies, academia, and the private sector. 

Candidates for this position should have about seven years of professional experience in transportation. A bachelor’s degree in transportation or public policy-related discipline is required, with evidence of a higher degree of professional development – such as a postgraduate education or professional registration – preferred.
