The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – an equal opportunity employer – seeks to hire a marketing manager to help coordinate and support overall strategic marketing of AASHTO and its various technical service programs, specialty contracts, and centers of excellence.
Under the direction of the AASHTO’s director of communications and marketing, the marketing manager will provide marketing oversight and support for the planning and execution of online and print marketing and sponsorship efforts, along with writing promotional copy, coordinating design and production of marketing materials.
Duties also involve maintenance of contact databases, distribution of product/program information, social media guidance, trade show and meeting coordination, and special events, AASHTO said.
Those applying for AASHTO’s marketing manager position are required to hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications, with a graduate degree in a related field desired.
A minimum of eight years of marketing and/or communications experience is required, with prior work demonstrating evidence of professional growth and increasing responsibility. Applicants must also be available for overnight out-of-town travel up to 20 days per year, the organization said.
