This position provides support to the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) by acting as a point of contact between the program’s customer laboratories, specifiers, assessment, and proficiency sample providers.

Duties include reviewing assessment reports, reviewing and monitoring corrective action reports, monitoring proficiency testing results, conducting annual accreditation reviews, and preparing accreditation documentation for review by the AAP manager. The quality analyst also prepares and revises AAP quality system policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
The Quality Analyst may travel to industry meetings as a representative of the AAP and may be required to conduct presentations at meetings, with the position also requiring independent planning, coordination, and execution of training sessions on AAP services and internal procedures to staff, sponsors, specifiers, or other interested parties.

Applicants for this position should have at least one year of quality-related work experience and are required to have a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience required.
It is preferred that candidates for this job opening have prior experience as a quality auditor and/or understand state department of transportation construction materials, testing, or contract review.
