The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – an equal opportunity employer – seeks to hire a Senior Financial Support Specialist a full-time position with the organization’s Washington, D.C., office.

Under the supervision of AASHTO’s Director of Finance and Administration, the Senior Financial Support Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing financial transactions, facilitating prompt payment collection, assisting in reconciliation processes, generating financial reports, providing clerical support, and following up on payment-related inquiries from AASHTO’s members and vendors.
Candidates applying for this position should have a minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role involving financial tracking, payment processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Experience in a non-profit organization or member association is desired, as well as familiarity with federal grant requirements and compliance.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field, is preferred, or an equivalent combination of at least three years of education and experience is required.
