AASHTO re:source is part of the engineering and technical services division of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. It provides services and tools through three major programs: the Laboratory Assessment Program, the Proficiency Sample Program, and the AASHTO Accreditation Program.
December 2022 marks the fourth time AASHTO re:source has conducted this geotechnical training course online, and only a handful of spots remain for this particular session. When registration is full, applicants can join the wait list in case spots open up or receive emails before registration officially opens for new courses.
This five-hour course – held December 12-14 – seeks to help laboratory personnel gain greater understanding of one-dimensional consolidation testing of soils.
Subject matter experts will provide a live, interactive demonstration of the consolidation test and participants will receive a laboratory workbook with exercises, checklist of requirements and procedural steps, and example graphs.
The course – conducted live via Zoom meetings – focuses on performing the test in accordance with AASHTO T 216 and ASTM D2435 test methods.
