The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials has releases a request for proposals (RFP) to complete the development and delivery of the first release of its AASHTOWare Bridge Design-Rating software system – known as BrDR 7.0 – along with providing ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for the entire AASHTOWare Bridge Design-Rating product suite.
The organization said in a statement that the first phase of the AASHTOWare Bridge Design-Rating software modernization – started in July of 2016 and completed in October of 2018 – redesigned the overall system architecture, update the analysis modules and the product’s user interface. That update software was released as BrDR 6.8.3.
The second phase of this project involves this new RFP – the BrDR 7.0 initiative that encompasses all of the bridge design, analysis and rating capabilities in the current product release. It will also permit configuration options to meet the user’s needs and familiarity with the software, AASHTO noted
Completion of the software envisioned as part of the full AASHTOWare Bridge Design-Rating modernization project and represent delivery of the fully modernized BrDR system, AASHTO said.
AASHTO seeks a contractor to complete the remaining development tasks for BrDR 7.0 completion, support the delivery of BrDR 7.0 to the end-user community, and provide maintenance, support, and enhancement services for BrDR 6.8.3 and 6.8.) as well as BrDR 7.0 once it is up and running.
All proposals are due by November 25 at 4:00 pm eastern standard time; questions can be directed to Judy Skeen Tarwater at jtarwater@aashto.org.
