That new report – officially entitled the “Survey of State Funding for Public Transportation—Final Report 2024” – is based on fiscal year 2022 data and addresses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on state transit programs, as well as innovative state funding initiatives.

AASHTO noted that this particular report seeks to promote and understanding of how different funding and tax mechanisms are used to support transit operations and capital projects. It also features a selection of state funding initiatives that highlight the efforts by states to apply state funding to support transit programs, beyond federal funding levels, the organization noted.

To order a copy of the report, visit the online AASHTO Store and search by Item Code SSFP-18.
