The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently issued 2024 interim revisions to its “LRFD Bridge Construction Specifications, 4th Edition.”

AASHTO said these 2024 interim revisions help “reorganize and better coordinate” information between this publication and its “LRFD Steel Bridge Fabrication Specifications, 1st Edition,” published in 2023.
The organization noted that it is necessary to have these 2024 interim revisions – as well as the 2020, 2022, and 2023 interim revisions – to have all current LRFD (short for “load and resistance factor design) bridge construction specification information on hand.
