The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials will help host the biennial State Public Transportation Partnerships Conference September 16-17 in Breckenridge, CO, at the Beaver Run Resort.

That meeting – jointly organized by AASHTO, the American Public Transportation Association, the Community Transportation Association of America, and the Federal Transit Administration – takes place in conjunction with the annual CASTA Fall Transit Conference and Exposition, which is hosted by the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies.
Every two years at the State Public Transportation Partnerships Conference, state departments of transportation, state transit associations, transit agencies, and industry partners come together for two days of panel sessions and breakout discussions on a range of issues.
This year’s meeting will address major transit trends and the state of the industry, spotlighting coordination between all levels of the transit industry to move people through the most “safe, secure, and accessible” national transportation system possible.
Other discussion topics include intercity bus needs, transit for large and special events, funding program insights, FTA programs and compliance, and rural transit innovations, among others.
The Council on Public Transportation will also sponsor an additional state DOT breakout session during the conference, which will allow state DOT leadership to come together and discuss national developments in public transportation with peers.
