The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently appointed a slate of new members to the AASHTO Special Committee on Research and Innovation.

The R&I committee supports AASHTO and the transportation community by delivering strategic, high-quality research results while addressing development, technology transfer, and implementation.
Those new R&I committee members are:
- Jeff Pulver, director of the Research and Innovation Office at the Maine Department of Transportation, named to a four-year term as a Region 1 member;
- Sue Zheng, director of the Office of Materials at the Florida Department of Transportation, named to a four-year term as a Region 2 member;
- Brandye Hendrickson, deputy executive director of the Texas Department of Transportation, named to a four-year term as a Region 2 member;
- Vicky Fout, research program manager for the Ohio Department of Transportation, named to a four-year term as a Region 3 member;
- John Senger, bureau chief of research for the Illinois Department of Transportation, named to a four-year term as a Region 3 member.
