The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, an equal opportunity employer, is currently seeking to fill two positions within its policy and government relations division; both located at the organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.

Applicants for both positions should have a minimum of four to six years of progressively responsible, professional experience in the transportation industry, the organization added.
Other job requirements include: Excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to act as a liaison supporting membership-based groups like the councils, committees, subcommittees and technical working groups that form AASHTO’s foundation; a broad understanding of the U.S. transportation system and the decision-making process that goes into the planning and implementation of the transportation system; the ability to contribute in a team environment; and the capability to effectively and strategically plan and organize activities while working independently to achieve desired results.
