Webinar: State DOT Use of ‘Safety-Native Telematics’

A September 15 webinar hosted by AASHTOWare will delve into the concept of “Safety-Native Telematics” and how state departments of transportation can use it to “transform” telematics information from a standalone dataset into contextualized safety intelligence.

A division of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AASHTOWare offers a suite of software products delivered through a collaborative business model with state departments of transportation across the country.

AASHTOWare Safety is a “Software as a Service” or SaaS platform specifically designed for highway traffic safety data management needs. Introduced by AASHTO as a Strategic Alliance with Utah-based Numetric, Inc., more than five years ago, this product has helped many state DOTs improve traffic safety.

Don Butler – a traffic safety engineer with the Nebraska Department of Transportation – and Numetric Vice President for Product Danny Anderson will demonstrate to webinar attendees how integrating telematics with crash, roadway, and asset data can enhance network screening, improve statewide visibility, and strengthen safety decision-making without creating separate tools, processes, or programs.
