New AASHTOWare Data Alliance with OnStation

AASHTOWare – the software division of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – recently formed a Data Alliance with OnStation, a leading digital stationing platform purpose-built for road construction documentation and inspection teams.

The alliance builds on OnStation’s earlier success connecting its platform to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s AASHTOWare Project Construction and Materials module via way of the  AASHTOWare OpenAPI – a connection that empowers transportation agencies and contractors to streamline field-to-office workflows with station location-based data for daily work reporting and documentation.

Through this new Data Alliance, all AASHTOWare Project licensing members can integrate the AASHTOWare Project Construction and Materials module using AASHTOWare OpenAPI.

By centralizing live station location, project files, and communication into a single application, OnStation said in a statement that it helps field teams capture critical jobsite insights that traditional tools may not record, such as station-based documentation and geotagged notes, forms, and photos, and easily share that information downstream.

The platform’s intuitive features also allow users to pinpoint exact station and offset positions, quickly measure distances, and incorporate field data into broader project workflows, OnStation noted.

This is the third Data Alliance to join the AASHTOWare Alliance Program; a program that helps connect systems across state departments of transportation more efficiently.

The upcoming AASHTOWare Connect conference will showcase several of these Data Alliances so that members can see exactly how their peers are utilizing each alliance to reach their transportation goals.
