Through those activities, sharing knowledge, and training events, AASHTO re:source evaluates testing competency, promotes continual improvement, and instills confidence in the laboratories and specifiers that use its programs.

The yearly TechEx conference is a one-of-a-kind professional development event for laboratory managers, quality managers, supervisors, technicians, and engineers.

Back by popular demand, the TechEx 2026 agenda is divided into three tracks, targeting (1) technicians, (2) managers and supervisors, and (3) directors. While this helps participants determine which sessions to attend, attendees are encouraged to join any sessions that fit their interests and organizational needs.

Sessions cover a broad range of construction materials topics, including:

  • Concrete Equipment Calibration Activities
  • Expanding Your Quality Management System (QMS) Beyond AASHTO R18
  • Standardizing Quality Processes Using Laboratory Information Management System or LIMS
  • Exploring Evolving Thermometer Requirements
  • Special Inspections
