AASHTO Seeks Candidates for Two Coordinator Job Openings

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials is re-opening recruitment for two positions in its Washington, D.C., headquarters office.

The first job opening is for Web/Database Administrative Coordinator; a grade 7 position within the organization’s engineering team.

This position provides program support in updating and managing information in databases, spreadsheets, and on websites related to the membership and finances of programs within AASHTO’s engineering and technical services divisions. Duties also include scheduling and tracking meetings, webinars, and conference calls for committees and technical service programs.

A successful candidate for this position needs excellent organizational skills, essential business skills, and well-developed computer skills, including knowledge of or ability to learn WordPress and SharePoint, web site updates, Microsoft Access or other database programs, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, survey software, and webinar software.

A minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative role in a technical environment with specific experience in database management and web content maintenance is required for this position, with knowledge or understanding of association work preferred.

The second job opening is for Registration Coordinator; a part-time, grade 6 position within the organization’s meetings and member services team.

General administrative tasks performed as part of this 17.5 hour-per-week position includes serving as the primary point of contact for registration inquiries via phone and email as well as processing registration payments.

A high school diploma is required, with college-level course work in meetings and hospitality or a related field desired but not required. Experience with building conference registration sites in Cvent, able to multi-task and meet deadlines desired, while proficiency in MS Office – including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint – is required.
