The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials recently made a series of appointments to its Committee on Bridges and Structures, Special Committee on Freight, and Special Committee on AASHTOWare, known as SCOA.

Kevin Lindell, chief of bridges and structures for the Delaware Department of Transportation, has been named to a two-year term as vice chair of the AASHTO Committee on Bridges and Structures.
Lindell, who has been with the Delaware DOT for nearly 23 years, holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware.
Andrew Andrusko, freight and railroad planning director for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, has been named to a two-year term as vice chair of the AASHTO Special Committee on Freight.
A nearly 16-year veteran of MnDOT, Andrusko earned a bachelor’s in professional geography as well as urban and regional studies from Minnesota State University-Mankato, along with a master’s in transportation and urban systems from North Dakota State University.
Meanwhile, AASHTOWare – AASHTO’s software division – named three new SCOA members:
- Lora Rensing, chief engineer and director of highways project implementation for the Illinois Department of Transportation, has been appointed to an initial one-year term for SCOA, to be followed by a full three-year term;
- David Hedeen, acting bridge planning manager for MnDOT, has been appointed to a three-year SCOA term;
- Janet Treadway, AASHTOWare project business administrator and electronic project delivery management lead at the Ohio Department of Transportation, has been appointed to a three-year SCOA term.
