The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – an equal opportunity employer – seeks to hire Program Manager for Transportation Operations Policy; a full-time position located at the organization’s office in Washington, D.C.

This position provides program management support, outreach, and engagement on cross-cutting themes related to policy, budget tracking, and research for AASHTO operations-related activities for its Committee on Transportation System Operations.
In addition to directly supporting the committee, the incumbent will provide technical, budget, and contract support for the operations contract, the Cooperative Automated Transportation Coalition, and the National Operations Center of Excellence.
A successful candidate will have about seven years of professional experience in the transportation industry, with a broad knowledge of transportation issues, as well as a working knowledge and/or experience in transportation operations programs.
Applicants must also have a bachelor’s degree in transportation or public policy-related discipline, with evidence of a higher degree of professional development, such as a postgraduate education or professional registration, preferred.
