The first job opening is for communications and marketing specialist at AASHTO’s headquarters; a position with the primary responsibility for using all marketing tools and social media to support AASHTO’s overall marketing and communications program, as well as AASHTO’s technical service programs.
This position requires the use digital and social media in execution of marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities; both external and internal. The position will also rely on traditional marketing avenues to further the association and its program’s visibility to internal and external audiences.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in marketing, communications and/or public relations, with demonstrated success. Previous experience with association or non-profit work is desirable, but not required. Experience working with volunteers is desirable. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in marketing, public relations, or communications.

The second position is for a training manager to administer the AASHTO re:source assessor training program, which identifies and assesses the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with managers, assists in the delivery of training to customers, and provides expertise to support AASHTO standards development.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional experience either performing assessments or audits, preferably in material or laboratory settings, or in adult learning. A Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience, preferably in science or engineering, or equivalent combinations of education and experience, is desired.

The third job opening is for a Program Manager for the Laboratory Assessment Program or LAP operated by AASHTO re:source. This program manages the overall operation of the AASHTO re:source assessment activities and staff. The assessment activities include evaluations of construction materials testing laboratories, falling weight deflectometer calibration centers, and AASHTO, ASTM International, and ISO quality system standards.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of seven years of prior experience in testing and evaluation of construction materials, and experience with AASHTO and ASTM methods of testing experience is highlight desirable. A Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience, preferably in science or engineering, or equivalent combinations of education and experience is required.
Candidates should have experience with laboratory accreditation and auditing of quality systems, such as Auditor/Lead Auditor course work. All previous work experience should demonstrate professional growth and increasing responsibility. In addition, a broad understanding of AASHTO R 18, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17011, and AASHTO and ASTM construction materials standards is desirable.
