The revisions apply to the Guide Specifications for Highway Construction, 10th Edition, published in 2020, which provides guidance for developing transportation contract specifications and chronicling national standard for best practices in highway and road construction.
States and local agencies use this new guide as a standard requirement for roadway construction contracts and is a basis for agencies to develop their own construction specifications.
The new 2022 interim revisions update the best practices within the original guide for pavement preservation, including emulsified asphalt chip seal, hot-applied asphalt chip seal, microsurfacing, emulsified asphalt fog seal, diamond grinding, and slurry systems.
The interim revisions are available to purchase in paperback, as a PDF Download (single-user, five-user, or ten-user), or in a set that includes both the paperback and single-user PDF Download at a discounted rate.
