The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials is currently seeking to hire a mobility program analyst; a full-time position located in the organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.
AASHTO said the program analyst will work with its director for safety and mobility primary staff liaisons to ensure AASHTO members are cognizant of key technical, operational, legislative, regulatory, and policy issues related to emerging mobility technologies and concepts.
The job also entails coordinating with state department of transportation members to discuss and formulate response to proposed federal actions regarding mobility issues.
Applicants for this position are expected to have four or more years of diverse technical and professional experience, with demonstrated evidence of increasing responsibility. Relevant transportation-related experience is desired, preferably at a government, industry, association, or research institution.
A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree is required, preferably in the areas of public policy, planning, or general transportation. An advanced degree in the area of transportation policy, transportation, or related area is an acceptable substitute for the required years of professional experience.
