A technical service program of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AASHTOWare offers a suite of transportation software products delivered through a collaborative business model with state departments of transportation across the country.
AASHTOWare OpenAPI is a tool that allows multiple applications or systems to talk to each other and exchange data seamlessly.
It is a cloud-based solution that incorporates an API management system that acts as a “request hub” for routing data between AASHTOWare software packages – the tool does not store AASHTOWare application data nor run AASHTOWare applications but rather provides the “connectivity framework” linking them together to provide a unified set of services from the cloud.
AASHTOWare also noted that this webinar will not be a technical presentation but will instead explore real-world examples showcasing collaboration between commercial, non-commercial, and government agencies via AASHTOWare OpenAPI tool.
As part of the webinar, state department of transportation employees will present use cases that identify the problem they needed to solve when first using AASHTOWare OpenAPI, the solution they implemented, the results they realized, and potential benefits of those solutions down the road.
