The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, an equal-opportunity employer, seeks to hire an Associate Program Manager for Engineering; a full-time position located at its Washington, D.C. office.

Reporting to AASHTO’s Program Director for Project Delivery, the Associate Program Manager position supports the administration and implementation of programs, projects, and special assignments of the councils, committees, and technical service programs (TSPs) within AASHTO’s project delivery team.
Representing a critical sector of AASHTO’s engineering division, the project delivery team facilitates collaboration amongst subject matter experts from the departments of transportation in developing standards and guidelines that are used to deliver transportation investments across the country.
Applicants for this position should have at least five years of professional experience. A Bachelor of Science degree is required, preferably in engineering or a technical field or in transportation planning or policy field. A master’s degree in the areas of transportation planning, engineering, policy, or equivalent may substitute for professional experience.
AASHTO added that it is highly desired that applicants have previous experience in a state, local, or federal transportation agency; demonstrating knowledge in areas such as policy, planning, highway design, traffic engineering, transportation facility operations, or maintenance and transportation structures.
